Safeguarding

As a church we take the safeguarding of children, young people and adults at risk very seriously, believing it to be part of our duty to make sure everyone is kept as safe as possible.

Everyone working with children or adults at risk in the church undergoes regular disclosure and barring checks and attends training on safeguarding practice.

We also have a full Safeguarding Policy and Procedures, which follow guidelines issued by the Baptist Union of Great Britain. To read our Safeguarding Policy, please click here.

Have a safeguarding concern?

If someone is in immediate danger or requires urgent medical attention, please contact the emergency services by calling 999.

If someone has disclosed abuse or harm to you, or you are concerned about them, please do not keep it to yourself.

We encourage you to contact our Safeguarding Team as soon as possible so that appropriate support and action can be taken. All concerns will be taken seriously and handled sensitively.

To get in touch, please contact our Designated Person for Safeguarding, Myran Larkin, at safeguarding@budleighbaptist.org.uk.
