Creme Eggs Needed

A small army of people from all the churches in the town have been busy knitting chicks. The plan is to put a Cadbury’s Creme Egg inside each one, then gift them to local primary school children with an Easter message attached.

If anyone could help out by buying a box (or two or three) of eggs to donate, it would be much appreciated. Any donations can be brought to the chapel on Sunday mornings. Thank you!

World Day of Prayer

This year’s service for the World Day of Prayer will take place at 2pm on Fri 7th March at our chapel. This year’s theme is ‘I made you wonderful,’ based on Psalm 139.

All are welcome to join us, so please come if you can.

Church Meeting

Our next church meeting will be held after the morning service on Sunday 23rd March. We’ll have some lunch together (please bring something to add to the table) and spend some time praying and listening to God.

Everyone is welcome, so please put the date in your diaries.

BMS World Mission

This week, readers of the BMS Prayer Guide are also lifting Ukraine up prayer. If you’d like some extra prayer points to lift up for Ukraine this Sunday, head to the BMS website and download the latest issue of the Prayer Guide.

- Jesus said, “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world” (John 16: 33). Pray that the Church across Ukraine will know the peace of Christ.

- Pray that injured soldiers returning from the front will adapt to daily life and receive quality treatment and pastoral care.

- Pray for the European Baptist Federation as it co-ordinates and leads external Baptist organisational support for the Ukrainian Baptist Union.

Giving

A massive thank you to everyone who gives regularly to support the church. We only survive through your generosity, so it is much appreciated!

If you'd like to give, there is an offering bag available in the chapel each week. If you'd rather give by standing order or another regular payment, there's lots of information on the church website here.

Alternatively, you can now give by text message:

  • To donate £5, text BSBC to 70970
  • To donate £10, text BSBC to 70191
Please note that you may not be able to give by text if you have a pay-as-you-go phone.

We also have gift aid forms available which will help us to claim back an extra 25p for every £1 you give, at no extra cost to you.

If you'd like any more information please speak to our treasurer, Liz.
