Weekly News

Sunday 10th November

Tomorrow we're meeting at 10.30am at the chapel and and online for this month's Splash! service. The service will include a short act of remembrance, after which we'll be thinking about God's faithfulness in turbulent times and the way he calls us to be bringers of peace in the world.

In the afternoon, we'll be joining with others in the town to mark Remembrance Sunday. At 2pm there will be a wreath-laying ceremony at the war memorial on Coastguard Road. This will be followed by a remembrance service at St. Peter's Church, starting at 2.45pm.

Church Meeting

On Sunday 24th Nov we'll be holding a short church meeting after the morning service. This shouldn't take too long, so won't include lunch. Please do join us if you can, and especially if you are a church member.

BMS World Mission

There is an increase in the persecution of Christians on every continent and a general restriction on religious freedom. Scripture teaches us to pray for those who are persecuted and for the persecutors. Let’s pray for those who are persecuted for their faith in Christ Jesus.

— Praise God for BMS’ partners working together in North Africa to bring people to faith and the abundant life that only Christ offers. Pray that they will work in unity.

— Many Christians face discrimination in Libya. Pray that BMS will be able to work with local partners to provide educational support for children of Christian parents who are denied employment.

— Praise God that the disciple-making work in Tunisia is growing. Pray that the disciples will be protected and empowered by the Holy Spirit to share the love of God.

A massive thank you to everyone who gives regularly to support the church. We only survive through your generosity, so it is much appreciated!

If you'd like to give, there is an offering bag available in the chapel each week. If you'd rather give by standing order or another regular payment, there's lots of information on the church website here.

Alternatively, you can now give by text message:

Please note that you may not be able to give by text if you have a pay-as-you-go phone.

We also have gift aid forms available which will help us to claim back an extra 25p for every £1 you give, at no extra cost to you.
