Sun 9th Mar
On Sunday we’ll be gathering at 10.30am for this month’s Splash! service.
We’ll be thinking about Lent, and how we can spread hope in the world. Everyone is welcome, so please join us if you can!

Thanks from St. Peter’s School
We’ve received a card from St. Peter’s School saying a massive ‘thank you’ for the donations towards Bibles. The message on the card says:
‘To Budleigh Baptist Church,
Thank you for the amazing donation to the school toward the cost of a set of class Bibles. You are always so supportive of our school. It is appreciated!
From Steve and the team’

Lent Talks
This year’s series of Partnership Lent talks will begin on Tuesday 11th March. We will be using Nick Fawcett’s book ‘Stop & Stare’ to guide our thinking and reflection together. Each week will be led a different member of the clergy, and will include a short talk then time for discussion and prayer.
The talks will take place at 2pm at Temple Methodist Church and then be repeated at 7.30pm at St Peter’s CofE Church. All are very welcome - do come along and enjoy some fellowship with other Christians.

Church Meeting
Our next church meeting will be held after the morning service on Sunday 23rd March. We’ll have some lunch together (please bring something to add to the table) and spend some time praying and listening to God.
Everyone is welcome, so please put the date in your diaries.

BMS World Mission
Please join us this week as we pray for Ghana, particularly our partner the African Oasis Hub.
- Praise God for the workers who have been trained through the African Oasis Hub. Pray that 100 mission workers would be trained and sent into cross-cultural or near-culture mission.
- Pray for BMS-supported workers in Ghana: that God will grant them favour, wisdom and relevant ways to mobilise churches, and resources to support young African missionaries.
- Pray that local churches would support the call of women to cross-cultural mission. Pray that we would be able to train and send two mission workers to Conakry, the capital of Guinea.

Giving
A massive thank you to everyone who gives regularly to support the church. We only survive through your generosity, so it is much appreciated!
If you'd like to give, there is an offering bag available in the chapel each week. If you'd rather give by standing order or another regular payment, there's lots of information on the church website here.
Alternatively, you can now give by text message:
- To donate £5, text BSBC to 70970
- To donate £10, text BSBC to 70191
We also have gift aid forms available which will help us to claim back an extra 25p for every £1 you give, at no extra cost to you.
If you'd like any more information please speak to our treasurer, Liz.
