BMS World Mission

Our partner the Asia Pacific Baptist Federation are working tirelessly to bring urgent relief to people in desperate need. They ask that you lift up the points below in prayer.

- Pray for the wisdom and safety of organisational leaders in Myanmar as they seek to co-ordinate critical relief response efforts. Pray for the provision of vital aid such as clean water, food, medical supplies and shelter for those affected by the earthquake.

- Current reports indicate more than 3,000 fatalities and over 4,700 injured in Myanmar due to the earthquake. Pray for the families impacted, that they would know God's peace and comfort and that he would provide for all their needs as they grieve.

- An unknown number are still missing in Myanmar after the earthquake. Pray for the rescue teams and efforts. That those lost would be found and rescued. Pray for the families of those missing, that they would be able to lean on God whilst they wait for news of their loved ones.

- With the destruction of the Ava bridge that connects Mandalay and Sagaing in Myanmar, there are significant logistical issues with getting relief to those who need it most. Relief trucks are looking at a potential journey of five to eight hours for what was a ten-minute journey before the bridge was destroyed. Pray for wisdom and quick solutions so that aid can reach those in need.

- Pray for God's peace to be known across Myanmar. Pray that the civil war would cease and that warring parties would come together to repair and rebuild their country. Pray too that attacks would stop in affected regions, and that this peace would be long-lasting across the country.

A massive thank you to everyone who gives regularly to support the church. We only survive through your generosity, so it is much appreciated!

If you'd like to give, there is an offering bag available in the chapel each week. If you'd rather give by standing order or another regular payment, there's lots of information on the church website here.

Alternatively, you can now give by text message:
