Sun 5th Jan
On Sunday we'll be gathering around the communion table to begin the year in worship, prayer and re-committal to covenant relationship with God and each other.
The service will start at 10.30am at the chapel and online as usual, so do join us if you can!
Pathways: Intro to the Old Testament
The next SWBA Pathways module will be taking place on Sat 11th Jan & Sat 1st Feb in Exeter. This will be taught by Rev Dr Helen Paynter from Bristol Baptist College, and is aimed at anyone interested in about faith and theology more deeply.
The module will help you to engage with the Old Testament and think about how to use and apply its themes and messages in your life and ministry. Topics covered will include...
- How to read, interpret and use the biblical text
- The overall narrative of the Old Testament and its significance for our beliefs and lives as Christians
- How to wrestle with some of the trickier passages and use them to help build up our understanding of God and what it means to be his people.

Giving
A massive thank you to everyone who gives regularly to support the church. We only survive through your generosity, so it is much appreciated!
If you'd like to give, there is an offering bag available in the chapel each week. If you'd rather give by standing order or another regular payment, there's lots of information on the church website here.
Alternatively, you can now give by text message:
- To donate £5, text BSBC to 70970
- To donate £10, text BSBC to 70191
We also have gift aid forms available which will help us to claim back an extra 25p for every £1 you give, at no extra cost to you.
If you'd like any more information please speak to our treasurer, Liz.
