The next meeting of our Walking Group will be on Thursday 13th December, meeting at 10.30am.
We plan an almost circular walk from Countess Wear to Exeter Quay and return. It’s one we’ve done before and includes the river and the canal as well as the Quay. There are toilets at Exeter Quay. Parking is at the back of King George Playing fields and lunch will be at the Swans Nest in Exminster.
Directions: From Countess Wear roundabout go towards the city along Topsham Road. After the first set of traffic lights turn left into School Lane, then left at the Tally Ho into Countess Wear Road. The car park is on the left after Exe Vale Road. Parking is free.
It would be helpful to have lunch orders before the day. Go to swans-nest.com (make sure it’s Exminster as there’s one in Stratford-upon-Avon!) then from the Home Page go to Carvery, then Carvery Menu, then Main Menu. It has altered slightly but not very much and there is a carvery every day. I plan to let them have details on Tuesday 11th.
