Praying for Ukraine

Some of us gathered this week to spend some time praying for the situation in Ukraine, and we will continue to spend time in all our services praying.

Please see below for other opportunities to pray together, some prayer points and how you can give financial help. Don't forget that we meet for our own prayer meeting every Tuesday morning at 9.30am. You can join us either at the manse or via Zoom (get in touch for the details).

BMS Prayer Points

Updated 12/03/22

In addition to praying for a ceasefire, peace and stability in the region, BMS World Mission have shared a number of prayer requests which have come from Christians in Ukraine, in Poland and from the European Baptist Federation.

  • Please pray that God would give his supernatural power through the Holy Spirit as it is all bigger that what me and my Ukrainian brothers and sisters can manage
  • Please pray for those trapped in churches in occupied cities, that even as they are surrounded by enemies, God would surround them with Christian love and care
  • Please pray that peace will reign in Ukraine. For those fleeing, please pray for their safe passage, for welcoming arms and for hot food
  • Please pray that churches will be able to minister to all. Pray that the church leaders will know the guidance and wisdom of the Holy Spirit
  • Please pray for those people who are arriving in Poland
  • Please pray through the difficulties that are happening right now in Ukraine
  • Please pray for all the Baptist work that is happening there to bring relief and aid to the folks in that nation
  • Pray for those who cannot, or will not, leave Ukraine. Pray that they are not discouraged by those who do and do not feel that the international community has given up hope for the possibility of peace
  • Pastor Igor requests that we pray for his fellow pastors to “keep believing that God will be glorified”

You can see and download these prayer points, and any updates, by clicking here. On the same page you can also give towards BMS' Ukraine fund.
