Faith in Politics

The Joint Public Issues Team is a collaboration of the Baptist Union of Great Britain, the Methodist Church, the United Reformed Church and the Church of Scotland. The Team aims to enable the four Churches to work together in living out the gospel of Christ in the Church and in wider society. They aim to promote equality and justice by influencing those in power and by energising and supporting local congregations.

Over the last few years the team has produced a number of resources designed to help congregations think, pray and act in relation to areas such as poverty, tax justice, inequality and much more. Recently, they’ve published a very helpful guide to some of the issues which are at the forefront in the upcoming election.

Faith in Politics is a non-partisan report which gives the background to these issues as well as questions for further reflection and prayer. A copy of the report will be available at church, but you can view and download it for yourself by following this link.
