The banana boxes are piling up as we get ready for this year’s collection of winter clothing, bedding and other essential items for refugees in the Middle East.
The UN estimates that there are now over 20 million refugees and displaced persons in countries like Syria, Iraq, Jordan and Lebanon, most of whom have fled the horrific fighting and destruction of their homes. Some are in camps, but others are struggling to survive in any shelter they can find. Faced with the prospect of a harsh winter, many will die due to malnutrition and lack of decent clothing and shelter.

Last year’s collection saw a huge response from the community, and we would love to do the same (or more!) this year.
