40acts is a generosity challenge for Lent, created by UK Christian charity, Stewardship. For seven years, 40acts has asked a question: what if Lent could be about more than just giving stuff up? What if it could be a time of radical generosity as well as spiritual discipline?
Over the years, 40acts has become a movement of over 100,000 people on a mission to impact their communities with generosity – during Lent and beyond.
One of our local schools, St. Peter’s, has been taking part in 40acts for a few years now. This time, they’re inviting others from churches and the local community to get involved.
You can take part in 40acts in a few different ways:
- The simplest is to click here to sign up as an individual. Every day during Lent you will receive an email with a short biblical reflection and a challenge to complete that day. This might be anything from smiling at people to sending an anonymous gift.
- Alternatively you can follow 40acts on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or Youtube.
- If you’d like to take part in 40acts as a family, click here for a printable wallchart with challenges for each day. There’s also extra information and resources to help you complete the challenges available by clicking here.
Finally, we’d love it if you could join us and the school at their end of term service on Thursday 29th March at 9.45pm at St. Peter’s C of E Church. This will be a chance to celebrate everything that has been going on for 40acts both in the school and across the wider community. All are very welcome!
